Advanced Cite-Checking
This Cite-Checking webinar presupposes familiarity with core Bluebook principles and is intended to cover topics not typically covered in the Introduction to Cite-Checking webinar.
The webinar is two hours in length, and will cover the following:
- The first one-half hour will be a review and refresher of basic citation principles.
- During the next one-half hour, some new topics will be covered, including using parentheticals, preparing tables of authorities, and citing to court documents.
- During the second and final hour, attendees will work on some citation exercises and correct errors in a court brief. Attendees will then receive an answer key for the exercises and work together on cite-checking and correcting the court brief.

Deborah Bouchoux, Esq.
Deborah Bouchoux is a licensed attorney who was engaged in private practice for more than twenty-five years, specializing in corporate and intellectual property law. She also served for four years as in-house counsel for a high-tech company in northern Virginia. Ms. Bouchoux has more than twenty-five years of experience in legal education. (“FINRA”), and the U.S. Tax Court.
